The university of Kelaniya is the one of state university of Sri Lanka. At present, the university of Kelaniya consists of 7 faculties. They are Humanities, Social sciences, Science, Medicine, Commerce & management studies, Graduate studies and Computing & Technology. There are 50 academic departments. The university of Kelaniya recently entered the annals of history as the first green university in Sri Lanka.
The faculty of science of the university of Kelaniya consist of eight departments. They are Botany, Chemistry, Industrial Management, Mathematics, Microbiology, Physics, Statistics & Computer science and Zoology & Environmental management.
The Student Welfare Division is another important place in the university. There are many services provided by the student welfare division for the students.
As well as the library is very important to us for our studies. There are huge book collection in our library.
The faculty of humanities comprises nine departments and the English Language Teaching Unit(ELTU). The faculty of humanities takes the lead in language, cultural, religious and aesthetic studies among the universities in Sri Lanka.
The faculty of Social Sciences consists of nine departments of study.
As students we are very lucky to be an undergraduate of the University of Kelaniya.
