Out bound training experience
We had an out bound training program as a part of our ppd sessions. It was a great experience for our lives. It was on 09th and 10th of December at Naval and Maritime Academy in Trincomalee. We had a lot of leadership activities in this training. We got valuable memories with this out bound training.
At the first day we went to the coral cove beach for some leadership activities. We had a lot of team works in there. at first we were divided to four groups. Then we had some challenges to win as a team.It was a very enjoyable day for all of us.
In the evening we had a variety show at the coral cove beach itself. As well as there was a fire camp. It was a very interesting evening. All the teams did events for the variety show. All of us performed our singing, dancing and acting performances. There were lot of navy officers who committed to success this out bound training.
At the second day, we had another challenge. we were divided to four groups on the second day as well. And we were given a compass for each group. The task was, we had to go to elephant point from the start point they had given, through the jungle. We had to concern about lot of things to complete this challenge. We had to find the route ourselves using the compass. It was a great challenge for us and all the teams could win this challenge.
After the compass march we went to visit Maritime and Naval History Museum of the naval camp. We could see a lot of good and bad memories of Sri Lanka navy in there.
After visiting the museum we finished our out bound training and returned to the university. It is a great experience to participate an out bound training like this.

My future goals
On the last day of our first semester we had to create a mind map in our ppd session about or life goals and in this semester we had to present it to the others in our ppd session. I couldn't participate on the day which presented it to the others, though I created my mind map.
As Sarasi Madam explained us, there are three types of goals in our life goals. They are personal goals, academic goals and professional goals. We had to create our mind map through those types of goals.
Firstly, I thought about my goals and then divided to those three groups. Sarasi Madam told us to think about the time period which we will achieve this goals as well.
In my personal goals, I mentioned to get married within next 6 years and be a good wife. As well as I mentioned about a dream that I had since my childhood. It is , going to Australia within next 6 years.
In my academic goals, I mentioned to complete my bsc degree very well and study up to my phd within next 10 years.
In my professional goals, I mentioned that I want to become a good software engineer and introduce something new to the world within next 10 years.
Such that, I created my mind map. It is very important to think about our life goals like that. We can think positively to achieve our goals.

Barter puzzle
There was another interesting game in our ppd sessions, on last week. Though I couldn't participate on that day, I could hear from my friends that it was a very interesting game.
Firstly, Sarasi Madam had divided them into three groups. Then she had given a picture for each group and she had told them to memorize the picture. Then she called the leaders of each team and told them to tear the picture for 100 pieces.
Then she had taken 10 pieces from every group and mixed them and return 10 pieces which mixed for each group. Then she had told them to fix the picture by 100 pieces with finding relevant pieces from the other groups. I could hear that it was very difficult task. As well as no one had finished the task with fixing 100 pieces.
But, I think that it was a very interesting game. In this game, I think we can learn how to make quick decisions and how to work as a team.
